چکیده

| An e cient multicast hybrid ARQ scheme is proposed by incorporating the generalized minimum distance (GMD) decoding of maximum distance separable (MDS) codes with Metzner's scheme [8]. Erroneous frames are stored in the receiver bu er and recovered after receiving one or more redundant frames. The throughput and the average transmission delay of the proposed scheme are analyzed on memoryless symmetric channels. The proposed scheme can circumvent the degradation of the throughput due to an increase of the number of receivers, which is the most serious defect in the conventional multicast ARQ schemes, at the expense of the transmission delay. Keywords| Multicast ARQ, MDS codes, GMD decoding, Memoryless symmetric channels, Throughput, Average transmission delay.

Hybrid ARQ Scheme Using Interleaved Reed-Solomon Codes in a Power-Controlled DS-CDMA Cellular System - Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on

In this paper, a new hybrid automatic repeat request (ARQ) scheme is proposed for data transmission in a powercontrolled direct sequence (DS) code division multiple access (CDMA) system cellular system. Data frame is composed of interleaved Reed-Solomon codes. The depth of interleaving is determined by a power-control interval. After decoding each codeword with algebraic decoding, the post-deco...

Hybrid ARQ using Serial Concatenated Convolutional Codes over Fading Channels

In this paper, we propose and analyze a new hybrid FEC/ARQ scheme using rate compatible punctured serial concatenated convolutional codes (SCCCs) which is suitable for flat-fading channels. Puncturing increases the transmitted code rate, and the rate compatibility criterion allows incremental redundancy to be transmitted after each decoding failure according to a code-combining type-II Hybrid A...

Rekey Distribution for Multicast Key Environment

An important problem for secure group communication is key distribution. Most of the centralized group key management schemes employ high rekeying cost. Here we introduce a novel approach for computation efficient rekeying for multicast key distribution. This approach reduces the rekeying cost by employing a hybrid group key management scheme (involving both centralized and contributory key man...

Computationally effecient group re-keying for time sensitive applications

Key distribution is an important problem for secure group communications. Multicast is an efficient means of distributing data in terms of resources usage. All the designated receivers or members in a multicast group share a session key. Session keys shall change dynamically to ensure both forward secrecy and backward secrecy of multicast sessions. The communication and storage complexity of mu...

Performance analysis of Incremental Redundancy Hybrid ARQ Schemes with Parallel Concatenated LDPC codes*

The character of Parallel Concatenated LDPC codes with rate-compatible is analyzed. An Incremental redundancy hybrid ARQ scheme based on parallel concatenated LDPC codes is introduced. We studied the throughput of the new HARQ scheme and obtained the closed_form solutions. Furthermore, the throughput of the new HARQ scheme is simulated. It shows that for arbitrary block fading channel, comprisi...
